Networking Lunch Presents Prime Job Seeking Tools

Neil P. McNulty brought a compelling and enthusiastic presentation to Regent University on October 25 when he addressed job opportunities in today's society. "Change the way you think, opportunities are everywhere and available at all times," said McNulty as he began his speech on the endless possibilities of finding a job in the midst of economic struggle. As author of The Quick 30/30 Job Solution: Smart Job Search Tips for Surviving Today's New Economy, McNulty has stood in society as one of the most prominent employment consultants. He began a career in the Military and went on to join Management Recruiters International (MRI) and then to eventually start his own company: McNulty Management Group. Through his brief session, listeners acquired the fundamental steps needed to begin the job hunting process.
Counseling Students Prepare to Help Military Families

"As the military family goes, so goes the veteran," said retired Marine Don Bohannon. After 33 years in military service, Bohannon knows a thing or two about military life. "Training our soldiers, our airmen, our Marines, and our Navy folks is critical, but there is an area out there that I believe needs attention in the stability and suitability of the family," he said.

Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefits Important Updates
Beginning August 1, 2011, break (or interval pay) will no longer be payable under MGIB-AD except during periods your school is closed as a result of an Executive Order of the President or an emergency (such as a natural disaster or strike). For example, if your Fall term ends on December 15th and your Spring term begins January 10th, your January housing allowance will cover 15 days in December and your February housing allowance will cover 21 days in January.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education and housing to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, Regent University was a sponsor for the 31Heroes fundraising event to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. Proceeds from the event, held at the CrossFit757 affiliate in Norfolk, will go to support the military families who lost loved ones in the recent helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
The helicopter was shot down by enemy fire on Saturday, Aug. 6, killing 30 U.S.
