Undergraduate
The Associate of Arts in Psychology is a specialized two-year degree that can be taken on campus or online. The Bachelor of Science in Psychology prepares students for graduate programs in psychology or occupations that call for an understanding of the human mind. This program may be taken on campus or online.
Masters in Counseling
The Master of Arts in Counseling, Community emphasis is an on-campus program that prepares students for positions with public agencies, private practices or mental health facilities. The Master of Arts in Counseling, School emphasis is an on-campus program that provides the courses necessary for meeting the State of Virginia school counselor licensure requirements for employment as a school counselor. The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health is an online program that prepares the student for professional licensure. These programs take about two to three years to complete.
For those who do not require state licensure, the Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling is an online program that caters to the specific educational needs of non-clinical counselors and can be completed in as little as one year.
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
The Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology is both a master's and doctoral program and is offered on-campus. Those who complete the program will be capable of leadership in a variety of settings, including community outpatient and hospital settings, the church and mission field, academia, and much more. This is a five year program.
Doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision
The Doctoral Program in Counselor Education & Supervision is an online program which prepares students to become faculty, clinical practitioners, counselor supervisors, administrators in mental health agencies and schools, researchers, and consultants. It takes about four years to complete this program.
