Master of Arts in Strategic Foresight
New Student Information

Your mission is important. Your degree distinctive.

Congratulations to your acceptance into the M.A. in Strategic Foresight program and welcome to Regent University 's School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship.

On this page you will find key pieces of information that will facilitate your smooth transition into the program.

Now that you have been accepted.

Submit the Enrollment Agreement Form & Pay the Enrollment Deposit Fee. Please be sure to submit your enrollment form to secure your enrollment. Your ability to register for courses will be delayed until the enrollment agreement form and deposit have been received and processed. When you return the form and the tuition deposit, your status at Regent will change from 'applicant' to 'student.' The automated systems on campus will produce a response that will give you your Regent ID and Password, allowing you to access MyRegent. MyRegent provides you with access to Blackboard, Genisys, Webmail, Web Calendar and much more.

Access your Regent WebMail. Regent issues each student their own e-mail account. Once you have received your password and login, all Regent e-mail will be sent to your Regent e-mail address. If you wish, you can set up your Regent e-mail account to forward your Regent messages to an e-mail address you now use. This will be done in the Regent WebMail system once you have access to it. As soon as you can, please log into the Regent e-mail system and set the forward-email option to your preferred email address so that you receive all messages from the university. Here is the tutorial for Regent's WebMail.

Your academic advisor. Your advisor will be your primary contact from your very first class registration, all the way until graduation. Review the course offerings and contact your advisor for your initial academic consultation.

Submit the Approved Degree Program Form. Complete the Approved Degree Program (ADP) Form and return it to your academic advisor via email. By completing the ADP form, you will design a plan that not only fits your unique schedule but will also help you to meet your academic goals in a timely manner.

Complete the online orientation. As an online student, you have numerous resources available to you. This orientation will familiarize you with the program, procedures and resources we utilize throughout the program. Follow this link to access the orientation session.

Blackboard. Blackboard is your on-line classroom. Please work through the Blackboard tutorial before classes begin. You will learn how an on-line course works, how you will learn, and how you will communicate with your instructors and fellow students.

Genisys. Genisys is our public information area containing course schedules and descriptions, financial aid, admissions, and contact information. It also contains a secure area for students to register for courses, view accounts and pay bills, check grades and transcripts, and update personal information. Review the Genisys tutorial.

MyRegent Web Portal. Each student also has access to his or her own individualized Regent home page. The portal provides single sign-on to Blackboard, Genisys and WebMail. Experience the MyRegent Web Portal.

Register for Courses. Online registration in GENISYS is usually open six weeks before the semester starts. After that date you will be able to register for your first semester course, which is LMOL 601. You will also be able to register for the Library Information Research & Resources course. The library course is a zero-credit course but is required for all programs at Regent University. Should you have any problems with your course registration, please contact Shanda Blickenstaff, from our Academic Services department, at sblickenstaf@regent.edu

Access your Courses in Blackboard. If you have sent in your enrollment deposit, enrolled in courses through Genysis and arranged for tuition payment you will be able to log into Blackboard and access your course(s).

Finalize Tuition Payment: Your tuition will be calculated at the time you register for your courses in Genysis. If you use a credit card, you can pay your tuition online through Genysis. If you are pursuing other payment options, you will need to arrange for payment directly with the Business Office after registration and before the first day of classes. You will not receive a bill via postal mail. So please take care to finalize all payment details with the Business Office before your courses are scheduled to begin.

Purchase your Textbooks. Texts may be ordered online through the Regent University Bookstore. After connecting to the site select:

  • Department: LMOL
  • Course Number (i.e. 601)
