LMSF604 Systems Thinking (3 credits)

Introduces students to the world as a dynamic arrangement of interconnected parts. Students learn to explain events and patterns in the world as a function of the structure of the system that produced them. The course is divided into a consideration of traditional cybernetic structures as well as the emerging discipline of complex adaptive systems. Some modeling is required to see how models explain system behaviors and what assumptions are required to use them. Prerequisite: LMSF602.
